Yael Yael, the Australian living in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has received her NIDA diploma. Yael was fortunate enough from a very young age to have worked with the best storytellers and performers in Australia along with visionaries in the film, TV and theatre fields. Yael leads a highly successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was pleased to have found her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, in which the play was staged with great acclaim, moved to her new home in New York City. Yael is the co-founder of The Cannery. Based at Bushwick, Brooklyn, the The Cannery promotes new writing and imaginative, inventive ventures.
